15th European Film Festival, 2014
TheEuropean Film Festival, directed by Alberto LaMonicaand CristinaSoldano, isrecognized by the Italian Ministryof Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism– General Management for the Cinema as eventof National Interest.
Thefifteenthedition will be held in Lecce,from April 28 untilMay 3, 2014in the Massimo Multiplex in VialeFrancescoLo ReN. 3.
A European and Mediterranean Culture celebration, which spreads annually around 100 films, between feature films, shorts and documentaries from many different European countries, with particular attention paid to a privileged channel of dialogue with the young artists. It welcomes each year in Lecce many international guests: directors, actors, producers and distributors who are involved to present their films and to meet their audience, offering a direct testimony of their own activity through a vital and stimulating exchange with cinema.
The Festival Programincludes the Competition sectionof European feature filmsin national preview, several in-depth sectionsonfundamental charactersin the history ofItalian and European Cinema, realized in collaboration withthe Italian Centre for Experimental Cinematography,anda Focuson the cinemaof aEuro-Mediterranean area country.
The otherevents, between shorts and documentaries, represent an even more specificpath of research concerning new audiovisual issues and languages.
TheEuropean Film Festivalis a memberof the Italian federation of Festival.
