THE EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL, TOGETHER WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL CINEMATOGRAPHY CENTRE AND THE ITALIAN NATIONAL UNION FOR CINEMA JOURNALISTS, PRESENTS THE FIFTH EDITION OF THE AWARD DEDICATED TO MARIO VERDONE.
The prize will be awarded during the Festival to a young Italian author who stood a part for his talent in the last cinema season for the making of a first or second work.
The selection of authors is proposed by the European Film Festival, the Italian National Union for Cinema Journalists and theExperimental Cinematograph Centre.
THE JURY CONSISTS OF CARLO, LUCA AND SILVIA VERDONE.
The winning author of the fifth edition of the Prize will be chosen among the following authors:
Ciro De Caro in Spaghetti Story (2013), first work;
Fabio Mollo in South is nothing (2013), first work;
Matteo Oleotto in Zoran, My Nephew the Idiot (2013), first work.
The first edition was won by Susanna Nicchiarelli in COSMONAUT,
the second by Aureliano Amadei in 20 CIGARETTES,
the third by Andrea Segre in IO SONO LI,
the fourth by Claudio Giovannesi in ALI HAS BLUE EYES.
The plaque of the Mario Verdone Award is designed and built by Futuro Remoto Gioielli.
