The narrating voice
PERICOLO DI VITA
by Arnoldo Foà
adaptation and mise en espace by Cosimo Damiano Damato
Arnoldo Foà was not only a great actor but also an original playwright and a precious writer. Among his archives, was rediscovered a short story written in 1949, published in the Italian magazine L’Elefante. Pericolo di vita is a visionary story permeated by that civil poetic and irreverent mummer that characterizes the writing of the Master of the Italian theater. Foà tells of a Dantean journey in the afterlife, an invitation to look life in the eye, by giving it the sacred and pure values. This story has the rhythm of a bolero, the musicality of words, the times of story wrap, involve, upset and overwhelm. A very nice page of renewed literature, which lives thanks to the dense and intense voice of Pamela Villoresi who has shared the stage with Foà.
