On the same day of Saturday 23 April, the VII edition of Mario Verdone Award will also take place. The Award is organised by the Festival together with Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and the SNGCI (National Association of Italian Film Critics), in agreement with the Verdone family.
The Prize is awarded by Silvia, Carlo and Luca to a young author (maximum 40 years old) whose debut film has particularly stood out in the last film season. The award aims to pay homage to critic, essayist and film historian Mario Verdone, always careful in his scouting of talented artists, not only in the field of Cinema but also in the world of art in general, as is shown by his numerous essays and writings.
The finalists of this edition: Alberto Caviglia for Pecore in erba, Duccio Chiarini for Short skin, Carlo Lavagna for Arianna.
