Paola Minaccioni is the protagonist of the New Italian Comedy on the second day of the European Film Festival, directed by Alberto La Monica. This afternoon at 5 pm, at the bookshop Liberrima all’Ombra del Barocco (free entrance), the actress will meet the audience, introduced by Enrico Magrelli, and will be awarded the Silver Olive Tree for Career Achievement for her contribution to the New Italian Comedy.
Also today, the section devoted to premieres and special events will be opened. At 8 pm (Room 2), director Marios Piperides and leading actor Adam Bousdoukos will introduce the Italian premiere screening of Smuggling Hendrix (Cyprus, Germany, 2018), winner of the Best Film award in the International “Narrative Competition” section of the Tribeca Film Festival. The film, distributed by Tucker Film, is slated for release in Italian cinemas on 18th April.
Today also marks the opening of the Cinema and Reality section, at 6 pm (room 2), directors Mariagrazia Contini, Paolo Marzoni, Vito Palmieri will introduce the documentary Non più, non ancora (2018). Love, friendship, school, sensitiveness, a changing body, bullying, the internet, family, future: a look at pre-adolescence through the voices of 100 boys and girls, interviewed by Mariagrazia Contini (full professor of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education of the University of Bologna). And also through the videos shot by the teens themselves without a crew, with just phones or small cameras.
