Antonio is a 17-year-old boy with a dream: playing soccer in a big team. He lives in a small provincial town in Campania, a land where it’s not always easy to make it in life. His situation is further complicated by his beautiful mother Miriam, a sweet but deeply troubled woman, whom he loves more than anyone else. In addition to his, Carlo, Antonio’s father, left them when he was just achild, and Miriam is obsessed with the idea of putting her family back together. Suddenly, life offers Antonio and Miriam anincredible chance: a talent scout, Michele Astarita, is looking for young players for the Youth section of Parma soccer team, andwhen he sees Antonio playing, he is amazed by his talent…



After graduating from the Dams (Faculty of Music and Performing Arts) of the Roma Tre University, he worked as an assistant director for Stefano Sollima, Francesca Comencini and Claudio Cupellini. He has made several short films, including Piove(2017),which screened in more than 60 international festivals, winning numerous awards. He is founder of the Renoir Film Academy inRome, where he is also a teacher, and he also established an important film event: “Pitch in the Day”, the greatest debut filmcompetition in Italy for young emerging filmmakers.If Life Gives You Lemonsis his first feature film.
