The “Waiting for the Festival” initiative goes on, and like every Thursday, the European Film Festival, in collaboration with the bookshop Liberrima all’Ombra del Barocco, presents CINEMA A CENA, a series of screenings of European Film Academy Award-winning films; four evenings with four different films to enjoy while soaking up the convivial atmosphere of the bookshop.
Tomorrow, 28th March at 9 pm, the audience will have the possibility to watch The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki by Juho Kuosmanen (Finland, Sweden, Germany, 2016). European discovery – Fipresci Award EFA 2016.
Summer 1962. Boxer Olli Mäki has a shot at the World Featherweight Championship title. From his life in a small Finnish countryside town to the bright lights of Helsinki, everything has been prepared for his fame and fortune. All Olli has to do is lose weight and concentrate. But there is a problem: he has fallen in love with Raija.
