Synopsis
In the spring of 2025, a group of middle school students from Grecìa Salentina explore their daily lives and inner worlds by filming with a small video camera. The combined perspectives and first-person reflections of each protagonist create a choral narrative and a new geography of feelings — a journey across an open sea of emotions belonging to a generation about to be discovered.

director’s statement
“The film I diari della felicità is the result of a workshop we conducted over the course of a school year at the Istituto Comprensivo Statale of Calimera, Caprarica, and Martignano in the province of Lecce. Filmed entirely by the young protagonists in the form of a life broadcast, the film recounts the moments and fragments of everyday life, where reflections, dreams, and introspective thoughts intertwine. Dedicated to listening to the voices of these young people, the film gathers their reflections on happiness, love, death, courage, and the meaning of life. Through the language of documentary cinema and its experimental approach, the film invites us to immerse ourselves in a fragile and evolving world, thus offering an opportunity to better understand something about the world we live in.”
