synopsis
Bianca is 23 and supposed to be attending university, but she never goes to classes. She has a few obsessions: passing time, cocaine, and Angelica. Since they’ve been living together, everything has been moving fast including their friendship, caught somewhere between love and addiction. Bianca keeps a notebook where she writes notes for her books, but she wishes she could write something else in it: we are constantly losing everything, and that in the end—perhaps, among Rome’s night streets and the silent tree glimpsing from her window—nothing will truly be lost.

Sara Petraglia was born in Rome in 1989. She holds a degree in Arts and Philosophy with a focus on cinema. From 2016 to 2022, she worked as a set photographer for film and television productions. L’albero is her directorial debut.
