Feature Film Competition
The Competition presents films from across Europe competing for the coveted Golden Olive - Cristina Soldano Award. A selection of works premiering in Italy that explore the reality of contemporary Europe.

The Golden Olive for Best Film and the Lifetime Achievement Awards are created by Michele Amato of Mikama Gioielli, an artisan from Molfetta who crafts each piece by hand, reflecting the unique and ever-changing shapes of olive trees.

Since the 26th edition, focusing on sustainability, the Festival has chosen to support Salento artisans in raising awareness against the waste of olive wood by awarding prizes of strong artistic and cultural identity, some of which are created by master craftsman Fabrizio Mastrogiovanni.
Through the "Protagonists of European Cinema" and "Protagonists of Italian Cinema" sections, the Festival pays tribute to great directors and performers of cinema, presenting the Golden Olive for Lifetime Achievement.

Puglia Show, a historic event of the Festival curated by Luigi La Monica, highlights the talent of young filmmakers under 35 from Apulia, offering them a prominent showcase in the regional and national cinema scene.

Augustus Color Award
The Mario Verdone Award reaches its 17th edition. The Verdone siblings, Carlo, Luca, and Silvia, will present the award named after their father to an Italian filmmaker under 40 who distinguished themselves during the past film season with their debut feature.
Best Emerging Director Award
The Award is created by Gianni De Benedittis of Futuro Remoto Gioielli, a goldsmith from Lecce.

The Emidio Greco Award reaches its 14th edition. The European Film Festival, together with the National Short Film Center and in agreement with the family, established an award in memory of Emidio Greco with the aim of rewarding a young Italian filmmaker under 35 who distinguished themselves with a short film produced in the previous year.
The Award is presented to a film whose themes and narrative form align closely with the "We serve" mission of this prestigious humanitarian association.
