In a lower-class neighborhood in Rome lives a barber who believes in conspiracy theories. He is the laughing stock of both his family and at work. Nobody takes him seriously until he gets arrested by the police. This is a story about a man, who, in his attempt at seeking attention and love from his family, ends up contaminating the whole neighborhood with a virus of conspiracy theories.

Elio is a young fisherman from Naples who works at the port of Fiumicino. One November morning, before dawn, he meets up with his ex-wife Maddalena, a lawyer, who has stopped by in Rome so that they can finalize the divorce papers. Initially full of high expectations, the discovery of a detail about her will lead the man to have to come to terms with his feelings.

Ettore, the owner of a funeral home in a small town, lives his days without any particular motivation, until Marilena, the only woman he has ever really loved, shows up at the home. She has lost her husband, an old friend of Ettore’s. After many deaths, this is the first one that touches Ettore and that will leave him reflecting about life.

This is an impossible love between people who come from different backgrounds: a love story born in the days of summer which ends on a warm winter’s night.

Extract of life of a small crew of fishermen, one of the few survivors in Mazara del Vallo, once Italy’s first fishing port, with a fleet that has dwindled from 400 to 70 boats over the last 20 years.
Captain Michele and his son Francesco, with the help of the elders Salvatore and Mohamed, resist in these times of crisis, aggravated by the expensive diesel fuel, increasingly high taxes, and the fish that is in short supply. For Michele, now, this activity is no longer a resource but a way to survive and he does not see a future for his son.
