synopsis

A true and transparent account of some young adults, aged 18 to 28, who come from different places and backgrounds. Catherine, Corinne, Josephine, Vito and Francis all seek to make a positive impact on the reality in which they have chosen to carry out their Civil Service, while experiencing personal growth and self-awareness.

“Esperienza Universale is a small overview into the state of Universal Civil Service in Puglia. Through the experiences of four volunteers, Corinne, Vito, Josephine and Caterina, the film reveals about how their dreams, the challenges they encounter in their daily lives and the commitment they put into overcoming them, are actually quite similar to those of their many peers. These experiences are common enough to create a narrative in continuity, capable of making geographical and thematic leaps while maintaining a common, universal thread, which highlights those who have the courage to challenge themselves.”
